An assistant women's basketball coach at Niagara University who resigned last week has filed a discrimination complaint against the private Catholic university.

The complaint to the New York State Division of Human Rights by Jamesia Smith says she was discriminated against based on her race and sexual orientation.

Smith, who is Black, says the university blamed her when she became the victim of months of harassment by the family of a white player.  The June complaint also sas Smith, who is bisexual, was falsely accused of having a sexual relationship with a player.
