Mayor applauds results of Gun Buyback Program

Aug 19, 2012

Mayor Byron Brown is expressing satisfaction over the city's most recent gun buyback program.

Nearly 750 guns of all varieties were collected in exchange for prepaid credit cards. Firearms were dropped off at seven different houses of worship around Buffalo. More than $32,000 in federal money was paid out this year.

This proved to be the second most successful gun buyback of the five that have been held.

All weapons were received with no questions asked.
