Movie shoot issues casting call for "extras"

Feb 25, 2015

Frigid temperatures haven't stopped a California production crew from filming in East Aurora this week.  In fact, they're moving right along and have put out a casting call for "extras" for scenes next week in the Wyoming County village of Arcade.

Mascot Pictures Production Coordinator Markus Hill says the director of the movie "Small Town Prince" had visited the Buffalo area previously and knew East Aurora was the perfect setting for a small town Christmas movie.  Hill says when he arrived and saw the village, he knew it was the right choice.

Hill says the crew has spent the first few days this week filming outside.  The cold has been challenging, but with the help of warming areas it is all coming together.

While the majority of the movie is set in East Aurora, they are looking for "extras" for scenes at the old time railroad station in the Wyoming County Village of Arcade next week.
