The former owner of an old Rich Products plant, on the southeast corner of Niagara Street and West Ferry, recently moved out. So Rich's reacquired the property according to Vice President of Corporate Communications Dwight Gram. He says the site's been fenced off and crews are in the process of dismantling several buildings that made up the plant. As for Rich's plans?

"Nothing dramatic. Just seed it. Make sure it's just a grass field. And basically make it shovel-ready for future development."

Gram says, Rich's is making the investment because it believes reacquiring the property was in the company's and the community's best interest.
"We've been here for almost 75 years. I can't tell you how excited we all are about the resurgence of Niagara Street - seeing all these businesses come to life. It's definitely transforming itself from an old industrial sector into a commercial and residential corridor, really. And we're just excited to be a part of it," Gram said.

Clearing the property, he says, should take about six months to complete.
