Buffalo's waterfront is filled with grain silos. Some see them as eyesores. But one visionary silo owner sees potential. Buffalo Spree Editor Elizabeth Licata talks about Silo City and other preservation issues in this week's Press Pass with WBFO's Mark Scott.
In addition to the grain elevators, Mark and Elizabeth touch on the historic carriage house that was once adjacent to Mark Twain's Buffalo home, plus a preservation award Buffalo Spree is receiving. They also touch on two unsuccessful preservation efforts -- the old Bethlehem Steel administration building and eight homes adjacent to the Peace Bridge. Finally, Elizabeth tells us about the 34 "beautiful" people in Buffalo, who are profiled in the April issue.
