Rabid raccoon identified in Youngstown

A second case of rabies in Western New York this year has been identified.

A division of the Niagara County Department of Health  has confirmed that a recently killed raccoon was infected. The raccoon was shot by a Youngstown pet owner when it began to fight with the man's dog. The dog was treated and is fine.
