With Sahlen Field increasing capacity for Blue Jays’ games to 80 percent, the ballpark is looking to hire more workers for the summer. A hiring event takes place Wednesday at Canalside from 12 to 4 p.m. at the Honda tent.
The Buffalo Bisons typically go through this process every year, but Bisons Assistant General Manager Brad Bisbing said having major league baseball in the city makes it more of a unique experience. “We're looking for additional game day support staff, as well as looking to continue to add to our food service department," Bisbing said. "So we can continue to provide that championship service that Bison fans know that they can expect every time they come to the ballpark.”
With the capacity increase impacting for games between June 24 and July 21, Bisbing said the plan is to continually add staff as they go.
“So we think about amount of games in one week and we want to be as flexible as possible with all our associates," Bisbing said. "So I wouldn't want to put an exact number-- we're just looking to add bodies (and) to add associates to our team and help make the gameday experience the best they possibly can for our guests.”
Blue Jays tickets will go on sale to the general public at 10 AM Thursday. More information can be found here.
