SUNY Buffalo State College professor is using digital music and sound as a therapeutic device. WBFO'S Eileen Buckley says it is being used for physical and cognitive therapy.
Tomas Henriques is assistant professor of music and director of Buff State's Digital Music Ensemble. The device he's created looks is a slinky like digital accordion -- it's called a Sonik Spring.
Since 2007 Henrique has been creating new music instruments. He has also written his own digital music.
