Sports betting will officially open at del Lago Resort & Casino on Friday afternoon. The casino is partnering with the online sports betting company DraftKings.
Officials at del Lago say the lounge they are setting up will offer what they describe as a high-tech, retail sports betting experience. It will include 23 self-service wagering kiosks.
There will also be a full-service restaurant and bar with seating for nearly 200 people. Sporting events will be shown live across more than 1,000 square feet of LED video screens.
Former Syracuse University and NFL standout Donovan McNabb will be at the ribbon cutting on Friday in Seneca County.
The start of sports betting comes after last week’s news that the Wilmot family is selling its 50% stake in the casino to its partner in the venture, Peninsula Pacific.
