Stereo Advantage goes offline after 41 years in business

Jan 8, 2020

After more than 41 years in business, the Stereo Advantage retail store in Amherst has closed its doors.

In a statement, the store's founder, Tony Ragusa, said "it's simply time to move on."

Stereo Advantage's Lifetime Service warranties will remain in effect.

The Advantage Company's Lifetime Service and Solutions Company, established in 1989, has grown and expanded nationally. Over the years, The Advantage Company has diversified into other businesses and relocated its Stereo Advantage store from one location on Main Street to a larger store on Main, and then to its final location on Wehrle Drive.

Sales of electronic equipment from online and big box retailers are also a factor in the closing.
