Two Buffalo women were sentenced in State Supreme Court Thursday for throwing Molotov cocktails into a West Side Buffalo home on New Year's Day.

Latoya Austin, 41, was sentenced to six-and-a-half years in state prison and two-and-a-half years of post-release supervision, while Ayesha Patterson, 29, will serve five years in state prison and two-and-a-half years on parole.

Both defendants pleaded guilty to second degree arson on separate occasions this year.

The early-morning incident at the multifamily home on Breckenridge Street followed a domestic dispute and displaced six residents. Three children were taken to Oishei Children's Hospital, while one police officer was treated for smoke inhalation at Erie County Medical Center.
