Dixon will be earning an annual salary of about $50,000, but is likely to be upgraded to the post of associate deputy comptroller for communications and community relations. In that new role, she would earn an annual salary of roughly $90,000.

Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz also announced his appointment of Geoffrey Szymanski as Erie County Director of Workforce Development, effective immediately. In that position, Szymanski serves as Executive Director of the Buffalo and Erie County Workforce Investment Board (WIB).

"I welcome him to the team and look forward to working together to build a more prepared, inclusive, dynamic county workforce,” said Poloncarz.

Szymanski was mayor of Lackawanna since January 2012 and city councilman for six years prior to that.
