UB data breach affects some students, faculty and alumni

May 20, 2018

The University at Buffalo says nearly 2,700 students, faculty, staff and alumni are victims of a data breach.

Their accounts are vulnerable after they used their UB user names and passwords to log into a third party site.

So far, there's no indication if any academic, financial or private information was accessed or stolen. But UB is contacting those affected by the breach, instructing them to change their user names and passwords.
