UB Study Finds School Merger Savings Only for Smallest Districts

Buffalo, NY – The UB Regional Institute has released a comprehensive study of the potential savings from school consolidations in Western New York. Governmental consolidation to help cut costs has been at the center of an ongoing reform debate. But the UB study found that merging schools does not necessarily save money. To find out why, WBFO's Joyce Kryszak talked with UB policy fellow Peter Lombardi.
