He was unanimously re-elected on Saturday at the biennial reorganization meeting. He was first elected back in 2012.  Zellner says the unanimous vote is a symbol of the unity and strength among democrats in Erie County.

 Statement by Chairman Jeremy Zellner:

“I am deeply honored and humbled to have been unanimously re-elected as Chair of the Erie County Democratic Committee at today’s biennial reorganization meeting. Our hard working committee members are the foundation of our party and our community. From my first election in 2012 through today, I have continued to increase my share of support within the committee. Today’s vote is a symbol of the unity and strength that exists among Democrats in Erie County.

“Our candidates including John Flynn for District Attorney, and our state legislative candidates Monica Wallace, Amber Small, Tom Loughran and Steve Meyer exemplify the progressive values of the Democratic Party and our commitment to ethics and reform in government.

“Lt. Governor Kathy Hochul, Congressman Brian Higgins, Senator Tim Kennedy and Mayor Byron Brown all spoke of the importance of electing Hillary Clinton as our next president and the pivotal role that the Erie County Democratic Committee must play in that endeavor. With only 45 days to go until Election Day, the Erie County Democratic Committee is stronger and more united than ever and will be doing everything we can for her candidacy.

“I look forward to serving our community as the leader of the Erie County Democratic Committee for another two years.”
