Assembly Majority Leader Crystal Peoples-Stokes says legalizing marijuana for adult use may still fall into place before the end of the current legislative session in Albany.

After the failure to include legalized recreational marijuana in the New York state budget earlier this year, sponsors of the legislation say they are introducing a new bill that they hope stands a better chance at becoming law.

The gears have started turning on a long awaited project on Buffalo's East Side. Local leaders announced the start of construction on a $31 million dollar affordable housing project Wednesday afternoon. Two mixed-use buildings will be constructed over the next year and a half on Jefferson Avenue.
