Bomb Threat

Lockport Police have arrested a 15-year-old in connection with a bomb threat Monday.

Law enforcement officers in downtown Buffalo and Niagara County spent Thursday afternoon responding to multiple bomb threats. The threats were part of incidents seen across the U.S. and Canada.

Stratford Festival

Police in Stratford, ON, say all buildings at the Stratford Festival have been turned back over to staff following a bomb threat that cancelled the official opening night of the 2018 season.

Two court buildings and a county office building in Niagara County were closed in the early afternoon Thursday because of phoned-in bomb threats.

The Erie County Sheriff's Office reports its Bomb Squad Unit and detectives have cleared a threat at Alden High School and the student involved.

A 15-year-old Niagara Falls High School student was arrested on a felony charge Wednesday for making bomb threat phone calls to his high school and Niagara-Wheatfield High School, which led to evacuations and lockdowns.

FBI: No valid bomb threat on JetBlue flight diverted to Buffalo

The FBI says there was no valid threat to a Boston-to-Chicago JetBlue flight that landed in Buffalo after a woman called authorities to say a passenger might pose a bomb threat.

Steven Lanser, of the FBI's Buffalo office, says the threat was not real and the incident appears to be the result of a domestic dispute.

A woman in the Boston area called to say there might be a bomb aboard Flight 923. The pilot was told what was happening, but 83 passengers aboard were only told they were diverting to Buffalo-Niagara International Airport.
