"The Boss" was back, and the sold-out crowd at First Niagara Center couldn't have been more pleased that a four-decade-long music tradition continued Thursday night.

Tonight at 7 p.m., Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will take the stage at the First Niagara Center. The show marks the fifteenth performance by "The Boss" in Buffalo since the early 70s and, for one Western New Yorker, it makes for an even bigger number. Donny Kutzbach is co-owner of Fun Time Entertainment and Buffalo’s Town Ballroom and tonight will be his 42nd time seeing "The Boss" in concert.

Rock legend Bruce Springsteen and his E Street Band perform in concert tonight at the sold-out First Niagara Center in downtown Buffalo as part of the "Wrecking Ball" tour.

Springsteen last appeared in Buffalo in November 2009.  It turned out to be the last concert featuring saxophonist Clarence Clemons, who died in June 2011.   Tonight's concert will include a tribute by Springsteen to his old friend.

WBFO and AM970's Mark Scott has a preview of tonight's show.
