For years, the knock on doing something about the Central Terminal was that fixing it up would take a lot of money. Now, an Ontario-based developer is willing to spend $100 million on redeveloping the terminal -- and another $100 million to  build a residential complex on a mostly-vacant parcel next door.

While Buffalo enjoys an economic renaissance, many in Erie County are not seeing its benefits in terms of jobs. A community summit was held in Buffalo to explore disparities in race and employment.

Governor Andrew Cuomo on Thursday announced new economic development that will bring a combined 1,400 jobs to Buffalo and Dunkirk over the next decade.

The U.S. Department of Labor has presented the United Way of Buffalo & Erie County with a $2.9 million grant to grow apprenticeship programs in Western New York, something local labor and government leaders say is important as manufacturing makes a comeback in the United States.
