A two-alarm fire on Buffalo's East Side has left 11 people homeless. The fire broke out earlier this afternoon at a home at 122 Moselle near Genesee Street. It quickly spread to two nearby homes, including a vacant home at 126 Moselle.
Fire destroyed three houses on Buffalo's East side Friday afternoon. Firefighters responded to a two-alarm blaze on Dupont Street near Woodlawn Avenue around 1:00pm. It was deemed to be under control after about an hour.
A six-month-old infant boy died in an overnight fire in Buffalo's Riverside neighborhood. The deadly blaze has raised questions about city closures of fire companies under what the union calls a new staffing policy.
