Early morning shooting injures two young men

Buffalo Police are investigating a shooting that occurred in the early morning hours on Saturday.

There were many opinions on policing in Buffalo Tuesday night, many of which were shouted out during a raucous forum in Mount Olive Baptist Church sponsored by Mayor Byron Brown.

The number of Buffalo police officers who are off work because they were injured on duty has dropped drastically.

Buffalo Police Commissioner Daniel Derenda announced Tuesday afternoon that one of the police officers involved in a video-recorded beating of a suspect on April 19th has been suspended without pay. The Buffalo News has identified the suspended officer as John Cirulli.

Police headquarters in Buffalo have temporarily lost all voicemail capabilities.

The computers that handle the service are located in New Jersey and have been knocked out by Hurricane Sandy. There is no prediction as to when the service will be restored.
