Nearly 50 affordable housing units have been dedicated in a community project to revitalize Buffalo's West Side neighborhoods. Supporters say it's a better option than demolition or gentrifying the neighborhood.


Remedial work will start soon on a multi-phased project planned at the former Millard Fillmore Hospital site on Gates Circle. Developers plan to transform the West Side site into a retirement community, apartment complex and community center.

Renewable energy projects to begin on West Side

PUSH Buffalo announced three renewable energy projects on the city’s West Side Thursday. The New York Regional Economic Development Council awarded $902,980 for the projects from the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority.
