A vacant office in City Hall has been filled.

Martha Meegan has been designated by Mayor Byron Brown as the director of CitiStat, the city's management tracking system. According to the mayor, Meegan was heavily recruited for the post, and she will earn approximately $50,000 per year. Meegan formerly worked as an assignment editor for WIVB-TV. Her organizational and staff management skills are expected to suit her new responsibilities well.

The search for a replacement in the post has been ongoing since December.
