A new regional charter has been signed by the Town of Tonawanda, the city of Tonawanda and the city of North Tonawanda.

A home fire in the City of Tonawanda Friday night has displaced the homeowner.

Firefighters responded to a call on James Street to find a significant blaze and the homeowner outside of the residence. One firefighter was injured by a falling power line and reports indicate an injury to the homeowner. The extent of the injuries is not known as yet.

The home is considered a total loss.
