Single-digit temperatures and sub-zero wind chills are keeping crews busy at the AAA of Western and Central New York.

Buffalo was warm in February. How warm was it? The National Weather Service says the region set a record for the warmest February on record.

As cold as it was last February, temperatures never dropped as low as they did Sunday morning. It was 12 below zero at the airport weather station at 8am, just one degree shy of the record of 13-below set back in 1943.

Much of Western New York will be hit by lake effect snow Sunday.

Western New Yorkers have been coping with frigid temperatures and wind chills lower than we have seen in a while.  There is a wind chill warning in effect until 10 a.m. Friday.  WBFO's Cheryl Hagen spoke with National Weather Service Meteorologist David Church early about the weather.
