There has been a sudden change at the top of the Buffalo Municipal Housing Authority.


After years of effort, the Buffalo Municipal Housing Authority has received $16 million from Washington for a complete overhaul of the 87 housing units at Frederick Douglass Towers. Many residents are worried they will be pushed out of the renovated units.

The Buffalo Municipal Housing Authority is taking the initiative on recommendations by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to go smoke-free.

City, state and federal elected officials support restoring Fosdick Field at City Honors School. But it appears the community group pushing the plan for the vacant Buffalo Municipal Housing Authority land will not be getting preferential treatment.
