Students from the Buffalo Youth Media Institute premiered their documentary "1988" Tuesday night at the Burchfield Penny Art Center. The film examines society’s relationship with climate change.
Buffalo high school filmmakers are tackling climate change in a documentary called 1988. The title takes inspiration from a year when climate scientists warned Congress of the impending climate crisis. WBFO’s Nick Lippa spoke to some of the 13-student film crew, which was made up from several Buffalo youth programs working with the Buffalo Youth Media Institute.
