Buffalo Bills head coach Doug Marrone and general manager Doug Whaley held an end-of-year press conference from Orchard Park Monday to look back on a season where the team improved, but again failed to make the playoffs. 

The Buffalo Bills visit the Houston Texans Sunday, with both teams sporting 2-1 records. As Matt Sabuda points out in WBFO's "Beyond the Playbook," some other remarkable connections exist, including an unusually close relationship between the head coaches.

After weeks of bad injury news and poor on-field performances, the Buffalo Bills received a boost Sunday when rookie quarterback E.J. Manuel returned to the practice field.

The Buffalo Bills are planning to start undrafted rookie Jeff Tuel at quarterback for the season opener vs. New England September 8. Bills coach Doug Marrone made the announcement Monday.

The Buffalo Bills officially named Doug Marrone head coach Monday.  Marrone, who spent the last four years coaching Syracuse University, was formally introduced at a noon news conference at Ralph Wilson Stadium in Orchard Park.

ESPN is reporting that the Buffalo Bills have chosen Syracuse head coach Doug Marrone to lead the team.
