Vaping businesses and their advocates are preparing for another battle over the future of their industry after Gov. Andrew Cuomo reignited his push against flavored electronic cigarettes.

Senator Charles Schumer made a stop at a local high school Monday to push ways to keep kids from getting addicted to nicotine.

With the stroke of a pen, Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz signed into law Friday the Public Health Protection Act of 2018. The measure includes bans on tobacco and nicotine-containing product sales in pharmacies, smoking in NFTA bus shelters and smoking in vehicles where minors are inside.

E-cigarettes banned from school grounds in NYS

Electronic cigarettes will no longer be allowed on public or private school grounds across New York State.  Governor Cuomo signed legislation to ban the use. WBFO's senior reporter Eileen Buckley spoke with a health behavior expert at Roswell Park Cancer Institute.
