East Aurora Schools are going remote-only for two weeks, beginning Monday. In a letter to families, Superintendent Brian Russ says the current plan is to resume hybrid learning on Dec. 7.

U.S. Sen. Charles Schumer is calling on the Federal Railroad Administration to conduct an investigation into Monday night's train derailment in East Aurora.

Residents were allowed back in their homes in East Aurora Tuesday morning after an evacuation Monday night due to a train derailment in the heart of the village. 

Independent Western New York theaters like North Park Theatre and Aurora Theatre plan to keep operating after the state announced a ban on groups of 500 or more people, starting Friday afternoon.

Protesters were in front of Christ the King Seminary in East Aurora Wednesday, while Bishop Richard Malone was inside talking to priests and deacons. It was the same day another Buffalo Catholic Diocese priests was put on administrative leave while an investigation takes place.

An East Aurora woman has pleaded guilty to attempting to hire a hit man on the dark web to cripple her boyfriend.

After allegedly driving under the influence and striking a girl on a sidewalk in East Aurora this past Sunday, Erin Kuntz was arraigned in the village Monday but did not have her license pulled. After pressure from Erie County District Attorney John Flynn, that changed the following day.

An East Aurora woman faces charges of drunk driving, leading her to go off the road, hit a car and then hit and seriously injure a 9-year old who was riding a scooter on the sidewalk. Erie County District Attorney John Flynn is angry Erin Kuntz's license was not pulled when she appeared in village court Monday.

An East Aurora woman has been charged with vehicular assault and driving while intoxicated after police say she struck a 9-year-old girl who was riding her scooter.

Frigid temperatures haven't stopped a California production crew from filming in East Aurora this week.  In fact, they're moving right along and have put out a casting call for "extras" for scenes next week in the Wyoming County village of Arcade.
