Three new projects are coming to Buffalo's waterfront, including additional access points, new streets on an undeveloped block and a future facility where a piece of history will be rebuilt.

New York State is investing in a Buffalo school to prepare students for future manufacturing careers.  Empire State Development is providing a $3.2 million from the Buffalo Billion initiative to Burgard High School's Advanced Manufacturing program. WBFO's senior reporter Eileen Buckley says even though students are on summer break, they were at the school to demonstrate the program.

The scandal over Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s economic development programs has led to more scrutiny of whether the projects are the best way to improve the state’s economy, and some watchdog groups are asking questions.

During a recent visit to Buffalo, Governor Cuomo sparred with reporters over his economic development programs and their lackluster performance in creating jobs. On WBFO's Press Pass, Jim Fink of Business First suggested that lofty job goals were not going to happen overnight.

Following a holiday season shutdown, work is re-starting on the Gateway project at the Peace Bridge.
