A terminated New York State trooper has pleaded guilty to raping one woman and impersonating a law enforcement officer to gain personal information from two others.

Two members of the Buffalo 5 continue to fight to have their names cleared from a 1976 murder. They were at a court hearing Wednesday morning seeking a motion to vacate their original indictment.

A Buffalo man has been charged with murder in the death of a toddler. Nathaniel Baker, 23, is accused of fatally beating 2-year old Jordan Robinson Tuesday at residence on Theodore Street on Buffalo’s East Side.

Valentino Dixon was imprisoned for 27 years for a murder he did not commit. His exoneration and release in September 2018 made international headlines and has prompted Dixon to fashion a new life as a criminal justice advocate and artist. Now, he has filed a civil lawsuit against the Buffalo Police Department and Erie County District Attorney's Office for his wrongful conviction.

A woman who admitted she violently shook her boyfriend's 2-year-old daughter while babysitting her has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for the toddler's death.

The Erie County District Attorney's Office adopted the Buffalo's Alternative School on South Park Avenue to work with troubled teens. WBFO's senior reporter Eileen Buckley says the program is offering students in grades seven through 12 a chance to focus on a stronger path for their future.
