Susan Albright has lived on Edgemere Drive in Greece for decades and there's always been a neighborhood Fourth of July parade.

"Our son is 35, and when he was a toddler, we had him in a float. Behind our car in the parade," she said.

But this year, there will be no parade.

Police Chief Patrick Phelan says the investigation began last week when a 16-year-old student showed a photo of another person to his friends and made a comment, claiming that the person looks like he could be a school shooter.

UB student found dead was Greece graduate

The University at Buffalo student found dead in his apartment on Sunday was a graduate of the Greece Central School District, near Rochester.

The four Greece middle school students who gained notoriety earlier this month for relentlessly taunting an elderly bus monitor have been suspended from school for one year. 

The Greece Central School District made the announcement late Friday afternoon, following an investigation. 

A 10-minute video of the students hurling insults at 68-year-old Karen Klein quickly went viral, resulting in national outrage and an outpouring of sympathy toward the monitor.  An online donation effort for Klein has raised more than $665,000.

An outrageous and disturbing case of bullying in the Greece Central School District was captured in a ten-minute video. 

Middle school students from a Rochester suburb relentlessly taunted and verbally abused a bus monitor.  The video that was posted on YoutTube showing 68-year-old Karen Klein trying to ignore horrible taunting, insults, profanity and threats directed to her while riding on the bus.
