Lake effect snow is expected to return to Buffalo today, though it is not likely to cripple traffic as was the case during the Wednesday afternoon commute. Jeff Wood of the National Weather Service believes the city will see another inch to three inches of snow, with heavier snowfall hitting parts of Niagara and Orleans Counties.


Warmer weather expected to bring flooding to WNY

The trend of steady snowfall and sub-freezing temperatures have combined to accumulate a solid snowpack across the region. Warmer temperatures are expected to melt much of that snow, bringing flooding to the region this week.

A cold snap is moving into the Buffalo Niagara region Tuesday that should last all week. WBFO's Eileen Buckley says the National Weather Service has issued a Wind Child Advisory from 6 p.m. Tuesday until 11 a.m. Wednesday.
