The next few years of the Buffalo Public Schools system are being decided Tuesday and it is close to a complete mystery how it will turn out.

Some Buffalo Public Schools were operating their own informal admissions processes, leaving some other high schools with the students rejected in that process. However, the School Board Wednesday evening was told this system has stopped.

There may be more drama and scheming going on off the school sports fields in Buffalo than on the fields. It is a mix of the long-running disputes beween the city school district and the Buffalo Teachers Federation and activists.

All 76 Buffalo school nurses have to find new assignments this summer. As employees of Kaleida Health, their assignments in Buffalo Public Schools is ending. The Buffalo School Board Wednesday night voted to replace them with cheaper, non-union nurses from two staffing agencies.
