John Yurtchuk, the chairman of Cheektowaga based Calspan Corporation, has been appointed to the board of the National Trust for the Humanities. The trust supports the NEH (National Endowment for the Humanities). Yurtchuk succeeds board member Cokie Roberts, the late journalist and NPR political commentator, who died in September.

Colored Musicians Club

Prosperity Fellows are at the Colored Musicians Club Thursday and touring the Michigan Street African American Heritage Corridor - talking to entrepreneurs, non-profit leaders and other changemakers. It is part of an active effort to keep the people here who were educated in local colleges and universities.
