Music isn't just easy on the ears, it has been used as a rallying cry by political and social movements for centuries. As we commemorate the 100th anniversary of a woman's right to vote being signed into law today, WBFO took a look at the em-powerful role music played in the Suffrage Movement.

A vivid picture comes to mind when we hear the phrase “Women’s Movement,” but the protests of today in Washington, D.C. had their roots in the women’s suffrage movement, a protest that lasted for decades and resulted in the 19th Amendment which gave women the right to vote 100 years ago.

It's not often that the challenger in a world title fight can arrange to have the bout hosted in his hometown. But Lockport's Amer Abdallah will get to try for the World Kickboxing Association light heavyweight championship in front of a hometown crowd Saturday night.
