Cancer treatment centers around the nation are experiencing critical shortages of vital pediatric cancer drugs, that impact is being felt at Buffalo’s Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center.


A young resident of Niagara County was diagnosed with leukemia in 1966 and eventually died of it. But leading edge medical research kept Eric Wendel alive and with his family for years, rather than the months anticipated when he was diagnosed.

A former Buffalo radio newsman is battling Leukemia. Ray Marks is preparing to undergo a stem cell transplant at the end of January. As WBFO's Eileen Buckley reports, the retired broadcaster and now adjunct professor wants to share his story in hopes of helping others.
