Mohawk Place

Jesse Dayton

Jesse Dayton spent his early days playing alongside country legends Waylon Jennings, Johnny Cash, and Willie Nelson. Over the course of his career, he’s incorporated his punk, rock, and Americana influences to create a style that had him touring with heavy metal artist Rob Zombie a few years ago. Mohawk No More

Jan 12, 2013

One of Buffalo's most beloved music venues will be closing tonight.

Financial challenges are forcing the owners of the Mohawk Place to shut their doors. The derelict atmosphere of the club attracted a devoted audience along with local and national musicians who performed at the club, making it a renowned stop for touring acts. The Mohawk has been a significant local nightclub for more than two decades.

A weekend concert series ends with tonight's "Last Waltz."
