On Friday night, the Buffalo Bills will make their first selection in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft and when General Manager Brandon Beane calls in his choice, WBFO's own Peter Hall, co-host of Theater Talk, will be joining him via Zoom.

With the ninth pick in Thursday night's NFL Draft, the Buffalo Bills selected Ed Oliver, a defensive tackle from the University of Houston. The move received favorable reviews from analyst Matt Sabuda who expects Oliver to be a contributor in the 2019 season.  As for the team's remaining nine picks, Sabuda would like to see the Bills add to the offensive line, a unit which struggled throughout the 2018 season.

The Buffalo Bills selection of Wyoming quarterback Josh Allen has sparked widespread reaction--a loud portion of which has been negative. Analyst Matt Sabuda offers a more measured response on a special edition of WBFO's Beyond the Playbook.  While factoring in the many negatives found on Allen's resume', Sabuda sees the selection as "a high risk for a team that needs a high reward."

With the 19th pick in the NFL Draft, the Buffalo Bills selected Shaq Lawson, All-American defensive end out of Clemson University. While the team will likely look for more defensive help, Dan Lavoie of Buffalo Rumblings.com expects the team to select a quarterback before the draft is finished.
