Buffalo high school students brought to life the words of a playwright who was described in his obituary as “theater’s poet of Black America” earlier this month.


The Park School

The Park School of Buffalo will dedicate a new science center at its campus in Snyder on Friday. The facility incorporates extensive landscaping and is designed to give students greater access to the outdoors.

The New York State Senate has passed a bill that would protect students from sexual abuse.  WBFO's senior reporter Eileen Buckley says this bill calls to close a loophole preventing private schools from reporting abuse and will require training. 

Daemen & Park School form historic partnership

Two private neighboring schools in Amherst have announced an historic new partnership. WBFO's Senior Reporter Eileen Buckley says Daemen College and The Park School of Buffalo signed a memo of understanding and will now collaborate to develop programs in academics, athletics and community outreach programs.

This week Anthony returns from the American Theater Critics Association Annual Conference, which this year was in New Orleans, to report that regional and community theater artistic directors all have the same concerns, whether the city is a tourist mecca or "just Buffalo."  One concern that everyone has is getting works by a variety of playwrights actually produced.
