Western New York Rep. Brian Higgins (D-Buffalo) has announced a federal grant to the University at Buffalo for the development of a method to accurately diagnose Parkinson's disease before clinical symptoms are present.

You might not expect to find a therapeutic dance program occurring in the middle of an art center. But that's exactly what's taking place each Wednesday morning, now through December, at the Burchfield Penney Art Center.  WBFO's senior reporter Eileen Buckley tells us how the Art Moves Me dance program is helping people with Parkinson's disease.

The third annual Moving Day event for Parkinson’s disease will take place Sunday in downtown Buffalo. The event aims to spread awareness of the disease and raise money to support Parkinson’s programs and research.
