Polar bear cub Kali will stay in Buffalo until spring of 2015. Tuesday, Senator Charles Schumer announced that the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has committed to keeping the bear in the city pending a health inspection this spring.

The Buffalo Zoo is facing a time crunch when it comes to raising money for its new Arctic Edge polar bear exhibit. The futures of the zoo's two polar bear cubs, Luna and Kali, could depend on whether that goal is met soon.

"Lunamania" is driving attendance way up at The Buffalo Zoo. President Donna Fernandes says the polar cubs Luna and Kali are doing well, but the bears' future in Buffalo remains up in the air.
