The re-opening of schools in September is garnering increased attention, and Congressman Brian Higgins weighed in on the issue yesterday.

Public health officials in Ontario have confirmed a new presumptive positive case of coronavirus in Toronto. The patient is a woman in her twenties who is now recovering in isolation at home.

The Trump administration declared a public health emergency in the U.S. Friday in response to the global coronavirus outbreak.

"Today President Trump took decisive action to minimize the risk of novel coronavirus in the United States," said U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar at a White House press conference.

The risk of contracting the coronavirus is the U.S. is low — something that federal health administration officials emphasized repeatedly. "We are working to keep the risk low," Azar said.

Feelings of anger and abandonment rang out across the auditorium of the Buffalo Museum of Science Tuesday evening, as representatives the New York State Department of Health held a public meeting to discuss their report on cancer levels across the state.
