When Jerry Stiller told his father he wanted to become an actor, his father offered an alternate plan. He said, "Why don't you be a stagehand — that's like being on the stage — at least you'll be working every night," Stiller told Fresh Air in 1993.

He is best recognized as George Costanza, the quirky, bald sad sack from the hit television sitcom Seinfeld. But long before staring on TV, Jason Alexander was acting, dancing and singing on Broadway. The Tony-Award winning star will be in Buffalo Saturday night to perform with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra. WBFO's Eileen Buckley spoke with Alexander about his show and his ties to Western New York.

The Tony award winning Broadway hit Chicago opened on stage this week at Shea's Performing Arts Center.  It stars an actor who is best known for his role in Seinfeld.  John O'Hurley performs as lawyer Billy Flynn.  WBFO'S Eileen Buckley talked with O'Hurley about his Chicago performances and his famous Seinfeld character.
