Fresh on the heels of Thursday night's debate, in the WNED/WBFO studio, the candidates for Erie County Executive squared off again, Friday morning. St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute in Tonawanda hosted its 35th annual candidates debate with the incumbent, Democrat Mark Poloncarz, and his challenger, Lynne Dixon, a county legislator, running on the Independence line.

The leaders of prominent Western New York private schools like Nardin Academy and St. Joseph’s Collegiate Institute are speaking out against a proposed state policy that would give public school districts oversight of their institutions.

Student-produced play tackles PTSD of a war vet

Students at St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute in Kenmore tackled a difficult mental health issue through a stage play performed this past weekend.  WBFO's senior reporter Eileen Buckley says students wrote, directed, composed music and choreographed the two act musical called 'Army of One' with all proceeds going to a veteran organization.
