Exam week at the University at Buffalo did not stop a student organization from protesting their dissolution by the school.


The move of University at Buffalo's medical school into a new facility to downtown Buffalo created a major vacancy at the university's South Campus. Officials have been preparing for the shift and this summer they will kick off a major phase of a campus revitalization plan. The public gets a chance to review the details at a forum at 5:30 tonight at  114 Wende Hall.

A team of about a dozen volunteers from the University at Buffalo and the surrounding community are going door-to-door near UB's South Campus, in Buffalo, as part of 'Operation Doorhanger.'

UB Police investigate reported assault

University at Buffalo Police are investigating an overnight assault that occurred on the south campus.  In an alert issued to the campus community, UB Police stated the victim and two friends were playing Frisbee in the Main-Bailey parking lot in Buffalo at 1:35 a.m. Thursday.

'Boot Camp' to help children's speech difficulties

Parents of students in grades sixth through 12th grade, who are experiencing speech difficulties, are encouraged to sign up for a Articulation Boot Camp.  WBFO'S Focus on Education reporter Eileen Buckley says UB's Communicative Disorders and Sciences is currently screening for the program.  She sat down with the director of an 'Articulation Boot Camp' that opens next month to correct speech impairments.

Buffalo Firefighters, including a city hazmat unit, responded to the University at Buffalo's South Campus around 9:20 a.m. Wednesday.
