A beloved Buffalo Public School teacher is being remembered for her work and dedication to students.  WBFO's senior reporter Eileen Buckley says Buffalo's Uncrowded Queens Institute established "Vanessa's Corner" inside the library of Early Childhood Center School #82.

During Black History Month Buffalo's Uncrowned Queens has been calling on community members to help preserve stories for generations to come.  WBFO's senior reporter Eileen Buckley says the organization is celebrating its 20th year.

The Buffalo Board of Education has a new member.  The school board voted five to three Wednesday night to appoint Barbara Seals Nevergold as an at-large member. 

Seals Nevergold succeeds Christopher Jacobs, who was elected Erie County Clerk. 

Seals Nevergold is co-founder and co-director of the Uncrowned Queens Institute, which documents the stories of African-American women.
