WBFO’s news team captured seven first place New York State Associated Press Broadcasters Association awards Saturday evening in Saratoga, New York and the grand prize.  The annual awards recognize radio and television broadcast work that aired during 2013.

Day after day, the WBFO News team delivers stories from across our region. We report on education issues, economic development, the environment, tragedies and triumphs. But we also dig into the region's rich cultural, arts and theater communities to bring you the "human voice." WBFO's Eileen put together an audio postcard highlighting a small portion of the thousands of stories we delivered to you in 2013.

WBFO's Eileen Buckley received a Buffalo Excellence in Media Award -- known as a BEMA -- Friday night in recognition of her more than 25 years as a radio journalist.
