A very diverse group of young women is learning about computer coding over the next two weeks.  WBFO's senior reporter Eileen Buckley says it's a program designed for immigrant and refugee students.

An experiment created by a team of students from one Western New York School is heading to the International Space Station. They were able to watch video of a launch carrying their work into space while on a trip to Washington, DC Friday morning. It was just one of the local creations included in the early-morning rocket launch.

A collaboration has brought a WNY Mobile STEAM and Maker Lab to some area schools and after school programs.  WBFO's senior reporter Eileen Buckley says students at the Buffalo Academy of Science were the first school to try out the program.

Some students from the Buffalo Public and Niagara Falls City School Districts have returned from a trip to the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. WBFO's Senior Reporter Eileen Buckley says the students won contests for their STEM projects.
