Tuesday marked the third “Measuring Day” for WNY STEM Hub’s Hand in Hand program. Three Western New York children and two more in Ghana were measured for 3-D printed prosthetic hands, which they will receive in October.

A Buffalo Public School will once again see a student science project head into orbit next year. Western New York STEM Hub announced the winner of its Space Contest. WBFO’s senior reporter Eileen Buckley met with winning student-research team from The International Preparatory School.

An experiment created by a team of students from one Western New York School is heading to the International Space Station. They were able to watch video of a launch carrying their work into space while on a trip to Washington, DC Friday morning. It was just one of the local creations included in the early-morning rocket launch.
